Black and White Film .:texture

Created in UltraFractal 3 using Dennis Magar's Thingamajigs II coloring formula.


8 Layers are blended with Hue Luminance and Saturation merge modes to make the lines 'intersect' instead of stack on top of each other. Masking was not neccesary for this image. Extensive tweaking of the gradient transparency allowed me to warp the divergance angles of the lines relative to one another.

The rough texture was created in Paint Shop Pro 8.0 by first applying the Charcoal artistic filter, boosting the gamma to 1.4 blue and 0.9 red and then applying sharpen. The resulting image was merged back with the original using overlay merge mode. I plan to do somthing like this on the final image becuase Thingamajigs texturing is difficult to work with.

My Rating: This is the original crop and rotation. The placement of every object in this scene was carefully planned. Everything appears exactly as I intended except the contrast.
